I’ll own up to the unhappiness, unworthiness, and despair I’ve caused within myself.

I will not, however, disregard the unhappiness, unworthiness, and despair I was born into within the institution of Amer*ca. This institution and all the institutions within it were born within colonialism. Amer*can practices are- (and the entity of Amer*ca itself) is Eurocentric. These conditions were created with blood; enslavement AND genocide.

How many of us are waking up each day and actively contributing to systems and institutions which were only designed for control, the maintenance of power, and capitalistic gain?

HOW MANY OF US ARE WAKING UP EACH DAY OUTSIDE OF THESE SYSTEMS, I S O L A T E D - WITH THE ISOLATION MELTING AWAY COMMUNITY AS IF IT WAS INHERENTLY TIED TO THE TEMPERATURE SHIFTS IN OUR PLANET’S ECO-SYSTEM.
