Grey cumulus clouds
roll in
and freeze
in real time
Rain starts
Pouring down
yet somehow
I stay dry
I stare
at my
reflection
in a puddle
across from
me
I wonder
why
As
the
sky
continues
to
cry
I let go of my
desperation
to understand the precipitation
I dismiss
Thinking
Thinking
Thinking
I exist
I too
Freeze in
Real time
The river
in my body
The crystalline ice
that’s in
my mind
the tidewater
in my consciousness
Accumulates
beneath the grey cumulus cloud
I am a glacier.
