I’m not my anger

Though it may

be one of my

first memories

I’m patient

I am a Tlingit fisherman

Anger can serve as a disguise. What feelings are

hidden under the shadow of anger. Today (2/19)

anger hid pain and fear. It was a burst of

anger. A lit fuse. A stick of dynamite. I

mistakenly thought, I had nothing to lose.

For that moment I was confused.

I do not have to unleash the dragon on

anyone. The only person who is really

hurt at the end is me and my loved

ones. My love. My rage must be nurtured,

it’s no one else’s burden to bare.
